Indications

Silka Medic Gel 1% is indicated for the treatment of dermal infections caused by fungi, including ringworm, athlete's foot, and cutaneous candidiasis. Terbinafine, its active ingredient, works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which results in the cell death of the pathogen. This medication is useful for eliminating symptoms such as itching, redness, and scaling in the affected areas.

Composition

Each 100 g of gel contains: Terbinafine 1 g. Excipients: water, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, and other excipients.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in people with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver diseases or renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease or excessive alcohol consumption. Avoid contact of the gel with the eyes, as it may cause irritation. In case of an adverse reaction, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
