Indications
Sig 1.25 mg is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension. This medication works by lowering blood pressure by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors in the heart, which decreases heart rate and the force of contraction of the heart muscle. Additionally, it is used for the management of stable chronic heart failure and may be part of the treatment in patients with angina pectoris. It is important that the use of this drug is supervised by a physician, who will determine the appropriate dose according to the individual needs of the patient. The use of Bisoprolol Fumarate should be evaluated in the context of the patient's clinical conditions and their response to treatment.
Composition
Each tablet contains 1.25 mg of Bisoprolol Fumarate as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Bisoprolol Fumarate or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block without a pacemaker, cardiogenic shock, and uncontrolled severe bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with diabetes, as it may mask symptoms of hypoglycemia. Likewise, its use should be considered in patients with hepatic or renal disorders, and in those who are under treatment with other antihypertensives. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment can lead to a rebound syndrome, so a gradual dose adjustment is recommended.
