Indications
Sifrol ER is indicated for the treatment of Parkinson's disease in adults, where it has been shown to reduce symptoms of rigidity, tremor, and movement disorders. It is also indicated for the treatment of restless legs syndrome, helping to improve sleep quality and reduce discomfort in the limbs. Pramipexole can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antiparkinsonian medications, depending on the progression of the disease and the patient's response to treatment.
Composition
Each Sifrol ER 0.75 mg tablet contains: Pramipexole (as dihydrochloride salt) 0.75 mg, excipients: mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pramipexole or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment (glomerular filtration < 30 ml/min) without medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of impulse control disorders, such as pathological gambling or hypersexuality. Care should also be taken in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as well as those who experience symptoms of excessive daytime sleepiness. Constant medical monitoring during treatment is important.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
