Indications
Sifrol (Pramipexole) is indicated for the treatment of early and advanced Parkinson's disease, as well as for the treatment of restless legs syndrome. In patients with Parkinson's disease, Sifrol is used as monotherapy or in combination with other dopaminergic medications. In the case of restless legs syndrome, it is prescribed to relieve symptoms that may occur during rest or at the onset of sleep.
Composition
Each Sifrol 1 mg tablet contains Pramipexole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pramipexole or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe kidney disease, as well as in those who experience episodes of hallucinations or psychiatric disorders.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Sifrol to patients with a history of behavioral disorders, cardiovascular diseases, as well as those with cognitive impairment. The dose should be carefully adjusted in patients with moderate and severe renal impairment. Furthermore, it is important to monitor for adverse effects, especially at the beginning of treatment or when increasing the dose.
Storage
Store in its original container at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
