Indications
Shingrix is indicated for the prevention of herpes zoster (shingles) in adults aged 50 years and older. This vaccine is designed to help prevent the onset of herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia, which is persistent pain that can occur after the shingles rash has healed. Vaccination is particularly important in this population, as the risk of developing herpes zoster and its complications increases with age.
Composition
Each 0.5 ml dose of Shingrix contains a formulation of recombinant VZV (varicella-zoster virus) antigens and an adjuvant that enhances the immune response. It is recommended to consult the detailed product information for the exact composition and excipients present.
Contraindications
Shingrix is contraindicated in individuals with a history of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) to any component of the vaccine. Storage
