Indications

Sertex (sertraline) is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders, generalized anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and social phobias. This medication acts on neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to improve mood and reduce anxiety. Its use must be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will assess the need for therapy and adjust the dose according to the patient's response.

Composition

Each Sertex tablet contains 50 mg of sertraline as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.

Contraindications

Sertex is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to sertraline or any of the excipients in the formula. Furthermore, it should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients with a history of serotonin syndrome.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of manic-depressive disorders, seizures, or those with a history of substance abuse. Appropriate monitoring should be considered in patients who are receiving concomitant treatment with other medications that affect serotonin. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Storage

Store the medication at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
