Indications
Seroquel XR is indicated for the treatment of psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder. Its use is effective in improving psychotic symptoms and stabilizing mood in patients with these conditions. Quetiapine acts on various neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to restore chemical balance and reduce the symptoms of these disorders.
Composition
Each Seroquel XR tablet contains 50 mg of quetiapine. In addition to the active substance, it contains excipients that allow for the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to quetiapine or any of the excipients present in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients receiving treatment with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors, as these may increase plasma quetiapine levels and increase the risk of adverse effects.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypotension, or seizures. Furthermore, careful monitoring is recommended in elderly patients or those with kidney and liver problems. During treatment, it is important to assess the risk of diabetes, as an increase in blood glucose levels has occurred in some patients.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
