Indications

Seretide Diskus is indicated for the treatment of patients with persistent asthma who require adequate symptom control and are not controlled with an inhaled corticosteroid alone. It is also indicated in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who require maintenance treatment with a bronchodilator and an inhaled corticosteroid to improve lung function and minimize exacerbations. This medication combines an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid (Fluticasone) and a long-acting bronchodilator (Salmeterol) to provide sustained relief of respiratory symptoms and improve patients' quality of life.

Composition

Each dose of Seretide Diskus contains 50 mcg of Salmeterol and 500 mcg of Fluticasone per inhalation. Excipients include lactose monohydrate and other inactive components that facilitate drug administration.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formula. It should not be used in patients with acute asthmatic attacks or those requiring immediate rescue treatment.

Precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, and hyperactive thyroid. It is important to monitor patients on prolonged treatment due to the risk of systemic effects from corticosteroids.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the device in a dry place and protected from direct light. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
