Indications
Serc is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with Meniere's disease, including vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss. It is also used in the symptomatic treatment of vertigo of vestibular origin. Betahistine works by improving blood flow in the inner ear, which helps reduce episodes of vertigo and improves balance.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Betahistine dihydrochloride 24 mg. Excipients: Lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to betahistine or any of the excipients. It should not be used in patients with pheochromocytoma, as it can cause a hypertensive crisis. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with active peptic ulcer or a history of ulcer, as well as in those suffering from asthma or respiratory diseases. Regular medical follow-up is recommended during treatment, and the dose should be adjusted according to the patient's response. In case of adverse effects, a doctor should be consulted.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
