Indications
Sensibit XP is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with respiratory illnesses, such as allergic rhinitis and sinusitis, due to its antihistamine and mucolytic action. Loratadine works by blocking H1 histamine receptors, thereby reducing allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and rhinorrhea. On the other hand, ambroxol helps to thin bronchial secretions, facilitating their expulsion and improving expectoration in patients with productive cough. This product is useful for relieving nasal congestion and improving breathing in allergy and cold conditions.
Composition
Each Sensibit XP tablet contains 5 mg of loratadine and 30 mg of ambroxol.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with active peptic ulcer or severe liver function disorders. Likewise, it should be avoided in pregnant and breastfeeding women, unless otherwise indicated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may interact with loratadine or ambroxol. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions and not exceed the recommended dose. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
