Indications
Senokot Forte is indicated as an aid in the treatment of occasional constipation. Its formulation with sennosides stimulates intestinal peristalsis, thus facilitating the passage of stools and promoting more regular bowel movements. It is intended for people who have difficulty having natural bowel movements, whether due to changes in diet, lack of exercise, or temporary situations affecting intestinal function. Its use is recommended in cases of mild to moderate constipation, and it can be used occasionally to relieve associated discomfort.
Composition
Each Senokot Forte tablet contains 8.6 mg of sennosides A and B as active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Senokot Forte should not be used in cases of intestinal obstruction, appendicitis, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's disease. It is also contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in children under 12 years of age without proper medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with conditions affecting intestinal function. Prolonged use of laxatives can lead to dependence and deterioration of intestinal function. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose and to consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than seven days. It is important to maintain adequate hydration and a balanced diet to promote intestinal health.
