Indications

Senokot is indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation. Sennosides A-B are natural laxatives that stimulate intestinal motility, facilitating the passage of stools through the intestine. This product is useful for the symptomatic relief of constipation, as well as for bowel preparation before diagnostic or surgical procedures. Its use is recommended in patients who require regular bowel movements and who, due to various circumstances, have difficulty achieving them.

Composition

Each Senokot tablet contains 8.6 mg of sennosides A-B as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other inactive excipients.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, intestinal obstruction, ileus, and abdominal pain of unknown origin. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe dehydration or in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.

Precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with heart, kidney, or liver disease. It is important to avoid prolonged use of laxatives, as it can lead to dependence or alterations in intestinal function. If no results are obtained after three days of treatment or if unusual symptoms occur, a doctor should be consulted.
