Indications
Sedalmerck is indicated for the symptomatic relief of conditions requiring analgesic and antipyretic care. It is useful in the treatment of headaches, migraines, muscle pain, joint pain, and symptoms associated with colds and flu. The combination of paracetamol as an analgesic and antipyretic, caffeine as an adjuvant that enhances the effect of paracetamol, and phenylephrine as a nasal decongestant, provides comprehensive relief that can improve the patient's general well-being during episodes of discomfort.
Composition
Each Sedalmerck tablet contains: 500 mg of Paracetamol, 50 mg of Caffeine, and 5 mg of Phenylephrine.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with severe liver disease, uncontrolled hypertension, severe cardiovascular diseases, or those taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within two weeks of discontinuing these medications.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of peptic ulcer, kidney problems, liver diseases, or those who regularly consume alcohol. Do not exceed the recommended dose, as excessive use of paracetamol can cause liver damage. If symptoms persist, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
