Indications
Secotex Ocas (Tamsulosin) is indicated for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), such as difficulty initiating urination, weak urinary stream, and frequent need to urinate, especially at night. This medication acts as a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist, which allows relaxation of the muscles in the prostate and urethra, thus facilitating urine flow.
Composition
Each Secotex Ocas tablet contains 0.4 mg of Tamsulosin as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the product.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Tamsulosin or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of orthostatic hypotension and in those who are being treated with other alpha-antagonists.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Secotex Ocas in patients with a history of hepatic or renal impairment. Additionally, concomitant use with other medications that may cause a decrease in blood pressure should be avoided. Regular medical follow-up is recommended during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
