Indications
Scabisan Emulsion is indicated for the treatment of scabies and pediculosis (lice) in patients of all ages. Permethrin acts as an insecticide and acaricide, affecting the nervous system of parasites. It is effective in eliminating the mites responsible for scabies and in eradicating lice and nits. It is recommended to apply the product to affected areas, ensuring complete coverage to maximize treatment efficacy. Its use is safe in children over 2 months of age and in adults, but caution should be exercised in patients with sensitive skin or pre-existing dermatological conditions.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Scabisan Emulsion contains: Permethrin 5 g. Excipients: purified water, glycerin, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to permethrin or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used on open wounds or in patients with severe dermatitis. Its use is not recommended in pregnant and lactating women unless the benefit outweighs the potential risk.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of skin allergies. It is important to avoid contact of the product with the eyes, as it may cause irritation. In case of accidental contact, eyes should be washed with plenty of water. In addition, it is recommended to perform a test on a small area of skin before applying the product to the entire affected surface.
Storage
Store at room temperature, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
