Indications
Sandimmun Neoral is indicated for the prophylaxis of rejection in solid organ transplants, including kidney, liver, and heart. It is also used in the treatment of autoimmune diseases, such as severe rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. Cyclosporine works by inhibiting the immune response, which is essential in situations where graft rejection needs to be prevented or in the control of autoimmune diseases. Its use must be supervised by a physician, who will determine the appropriate regimen according to the pathology and the patient's characteristics.
Composition
Each ml of Sandimmun Neoral contains 100 mg of cyclosporine. Excipients include hydrogenated castor oil and other components that allow for product formulation.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cyclosporine or to any of the product's excipients. It should also be avoided in patients with severe renal insufficiency, uncontrolled hypertension, active infections, and those receiving concomitant immunosuppressive therapies.
Precautions
Regular monitoring of renal function and blood cyclosporine levels is recommended, as it can be nephrotoxic. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of malignant tumors, as its use may increase the risk of recurrence. Use in pregnant and breastfeeding women should be carefully evaluated, considering the potential benefits and risks.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
