Indications
Samyr (Ademetionine) is indicated for the treatment of mood disorders, including major depression in adults. Additionally, it is used in the management of liver diseases, as Ademetionine has been shown to have hepatoprotective effects and can improve liver function in patients with chronic liver disease. This medication acts as a methyl group donor and participates in neurotransmitter synthesis, contributing to its positive effect on mood and liver function.
Composition
Each Samyr tablet contains 500 mg of Ademetionine as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
Samyr is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Ademetionine or any of the components of the formula. Its use should also be avoided in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with bipolar disorder, as the use of Ademetionine may precipitate manic episodes. Additionally, patients with severe liver diseases and those taking other psychiatric medications should be monitored. It is essential that the use of this medication be supervised by a physician.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
