Indications
Salpifar is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain, as well as for the management of conditions requiring effective analgesia. Paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, while tramadol, an opioid analgesic, enhances the effect of paracetamol, providing more complete pain relief. This medication is commonly used in postoperative situations, oncological pain, and pain associated with chronic conditions where long-term pain control is required. It is important that the use of Salpifar be supervised by a physician, considering the individual characteristics of the patient and the type of pain to be treated.
Composition
Each Salpifar tablet contains: 37.5 mg of Tramadol and 325 mg of Paracetamol.
Contraindications
Salpifar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in patients with acute intoxication by alcohol, opioid analgesics, or antidepressants, as well as in those who have severe respiratory failure or uncontrolled epilepsy. Its use is also contraindicated in patients who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Salpifar to patients with a history of substance abuse, respiratory disorders, liver problems, or in those taking other medications that affect the central nervous system. The dose should be adjusted in the elderly and in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency. It is essential not to exceed the recommended dose to avoid the risk of hepatotoxicity and other adverse effects.
