Indications
Salofalk is indicated for the treatment of active ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, as well as for maintaining remission of these conditions. Mesalazine, the active ingredient in Salofalk, acts directly on the intestinal mucosa, reducing inflammation and promoting the healing of lesions in the gastrointestinal tract. This medication is useful for controlling symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and rectal bleeding, helping to improve the quality of life for patients.
Composition
Each Salofalk suppository contains 500 mg of mesalazine as the active ingredient. Excipients are: glycerin, stearic acid and other components that allow for the proper formulation of the suppository.
Contraindications
Salofalk is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mesalazine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should also be avoided in patients with severe renal insufficiency or those with a history of allergic reactions to salicylates.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease, asthma, or allergic reactions to salicylates. Regular monitoring of renal function is recommended during treatment. In case of adverse effects, consult the treating physician.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
