Indications
Salofalk is indicated for the treatment and maintenance of remission of active ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Mesalazine, its active ingredient, acts locally in the intestine, reducing inflammation and improving gastrointestinal symptoms. This medication is used in patients with acute episodes of ulcerative colitis, as well as in those who require maintenance therapy to prevent disease relapse. It is important that treatment is supervised by a physician and adjusted according to the individual needs of the patient.
Composition
Each Salofalk tablet contains 500 mg of mesalazine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that allow for the formulation and stability of the product. For more details on excipients, it is recommended to consult the medicine's leaflet.
Contraindications
Salofalk is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mesalazine, other salicylates, or any of the product's excipients. Its use should also be avoided in patients with severe renal impairment or in those who have experienced severe adverse reactions to mesalazine.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease or liver alterations. The use of Salofalk requires regular monitoring of renal function, especially in those with risk factors. Likewise, the risk of treatment-related adverse reactions should be evaluated before starting therapy.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
