Indications
Sal de Uvas Picot is indicated for the treatment of heartburn and indigestion. Its combined action of sodium bicarbonate, tartaric acid, and citric acid helps neutralize excess stomach acid, providing rapid relief from symptoms associated with hyperacidity, such as gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux. It is also used to alleviate occasional digestive discomforts, such as feelings of heaviness and abdominal discomfort. This product is useful for people who experience occasional episodes of stomach upset or who have a diet high in foods that can cause acidity. However, it is important not to use it for prolonged periods without medical supervision, as excessive use can lead to electrolyte imbalances.
Composition
Each sachet contains: 2.48 g of sodium bicarbonate, 0.21 g of tartaric acid, and 1.94 g of citric acid.
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components. It should not be used in patients with renal or cardiac insufficiency, as well as in those with conditions requiring sodium restriction in their diet. Likewise, its use is not recommended in cases of active gastric ulcers or gastrointestinal hemorrhages.
