Indications
Rota Teq is an oral vaccine indicated for the prevention of gastroenteritis caused by the rotavirus in infants and children under 5 years of age. Vaccination with Rota Teq is recommended for administration in the routine vaccination schedule, starting from 6 weeks of age up to 32 weeks of age. Vaccination should be completed before 8 months of age. This vaccine is especially important in populations where rotavirus gastroenteritis is prevalent, as it can help reduce the incidence of severe diseases and associated hospitalizations. It is important that it be administered in the recommended doses to ensure the vaccine's effectiveness.
Composition
Each dose of Rota Teq contains a mixture of live attenuated rotavirus strains, which have been specifically selected to induce an effective immune response in children. The formulation also includes excipients that facilitate vaccine administration and stability.
Contraindications
Rota Teq should not be administered to children with a history of severe allergic reactions to any of the vaccine components or to a component of other rotavirus vaccines. It is also contraindicated in children who present with severe immunodeficiency, such as those with malignant diseases undergoing treatment or who are receiving immunosuppressants.
Precautions
Special care should be taken when administering Rota Teq to children with a history of intussusception or previous gastrointestinal problems. It is advisable to evaluate the child's general health status before vaccination and consult the doctor if there are any concerns about their medical condition.
Storage
Rota Teq should be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. It should not be frozen. It should be protected from light and kept in its original packaging until use to guarantee its effectiveness.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
