Indications
Rolet is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. It is also used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with hypertension and ischemic heart disease or type 2 diabetes mellitus with target organ damage. The medication works by blocking angiotensin II receptors, which leads to a decrease in blood pressure and improves cardiovascular function. Medical monitoring during treatment is important to adjust the dosage according to the patient's response.
Composition
Each tablet contains 40 mg of Telmisartan as active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
Rolet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Telmisartan or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in patients with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs). Likewise, it is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment and in those with hypovolemia or dehydration.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal insufficiency, heart disease, or a history of angioedema. It is important to monitor renal function and blood electrolytes, especially at the beginning of treatment. The use of Rolet can cause hypotension in patients who are dehydrated or who are receiving diuretics. In addition, it is recommended to adjust the dose in elderly patients and in those with concomitant diseases.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
