Indications
Rolet 40 mg is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure in adults. Blood pressure reduction helps prevent cardiovascular events, such as myocardial infarctions and strokes. It can also be used in patients with heart failure and for renal protection in diabetic patients with hypertension. Its action is based on the inhibition of the angiotensin II receptor, which causes vasodilation and decreases peripheral vascular resistance.
Composition
Each Rolet tablet contains 40 mg of Telmisartan as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that guarantee the stability and effectiveness of the product.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs).
Precautions
It is important to exercise caution when administering Rolet to patients with a history of kidney or liver failure, as well as those being treated with diuretics. Monitoring of renal function and serum electrolytes is recommended. Caution should also be exercised in patients with renal artery stenosis.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
