Indications

Rexulti (brexpiprazole) is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults. It is also used as adjunctive therapy in major depressive episodes in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) who have not responded adequately to other treatments. This medication acts as a serotonin and dopamine receptor modulator, contributing to mood stabilization and the reduction of psychotic symptoms.

Composition

Each Rexulti tablet contains 2 mg of brexpiprazole as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and administration of the medication.

Contraindications

Rexulti is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to brexpiprazole or any of the product's excipients. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome, as well as in those with a history of seizures or risk factors for seizures.

Precautions

Patients should be monitored for the appearance of symptoms of tardive dyskinesia and neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Patients with cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease, or a history of seizures should be carefully evaluated before starting treatment. It is suggested to avoid the use of alcohol and other central nervous system depressants during treatment with Rexulti.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
