Indications

Rexulti is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults and adolescents aged 13 to 17 years. It is also used as adjunctive treatment in depressive episodes in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD). This medication acts on dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain, which can help improve mood and reduce psychotic symptoms.

Composition

Each Rexulti tablet contains 1 mg of brexpiprazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that enable the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Rexulti is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to brexpiprazole or any of the excipients in the formula. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome or tardive dyskinesia.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, as well as in those who may experience significant weight gain. It is important to monitor for the appearance of adverse effects, including extrapyramidal symptoms and changes in behavior.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
