Indications
Retin-A Cream 0.05% is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris, as well as for the treatment of cutaneous manifestations of photoaging, including fine wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin texture. Tretinoin, its active ingredient, works by promoting cell renewal, reducing pore obstruction, and improving the overall appearance of the skin. It is also used in the treatment of certain forms of follicular keratosis and for the reduction of acne lesions in patients who have not responded adequately to other treatments.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains: Tretinoin 0.05 g. Excipients: Cetyl alcohol, stearic acid, glycerol, among others.
Contraindications
Retin-A Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tretinoin or to any of the excipients in the formula. Furthermore, it should not be used on skin areas with eczema or inflammatory dermatitis. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or lactating women without proper medical supervision.
Precautions
Special care should be taken when applying Retin-A to sensitive skin. It is recommended to avoid excessive sun exposure and to use sunscreen during treatment. Additionally, the use of other irritating or exfoliating products in combination with this medication should be avoided. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding the frequency and amount of application to minimize adverse effects.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the product in its original packaging and out of the reach of children.
