Indications
Retin-A Cream 0.025% is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris, as well as for the reduction of fine wrinkles and dermal hyperpigmentation. Tretinoin, its active ingredient, works by promoting cell renewal and improving skin texture. This medication is effective in preventing the formation of new acne lesions and in reducing associated inflammation. Its use may also be considered in the treatment of conditions related to skin keratinization, such as follicular keratosis and hyperkeratosis. It is important to follow the prescribing physician's instructions to maximize treatment benefits.
Composition
Each 100 g of Retin-A Cream contains: - Tretinoin 0.025 g - Excipients: microcrystalline wax, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, among others.
Contraindications
Retin-A is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tretinoin or to any of the components of the formulation. It should not be used in patients with conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, or open wounds in the area to be treated.
Precautions
It is recommended to avoid prolonged sun exposure and the use of sunlamps during treatment, as tretinoin can increase skin sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation. Also, care should be taken when using other topical products that may cause irritation. It is important to perform a sensitivity test before starting the full treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
