Indications

Resvelare is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adults. In addition, it may be used for the management of generalized anxiety disorder, as well as for the treatment of pain symptoms in patients with chronic painful disorders who present comorbidity with depression. Desvenlafaxine acts by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, which contributes to improving mood and reducing the sensation of pain in these patients.

Composition

Each Resvelare tablet contains 50 mg of desvenlafaxine as the active ingredient. Excipients include microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, and other additives that allow for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to desvenlafaxine or to any of the excipients present in the formula. Likewise, its use is contraindicated in patients who are receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have recently discontinued it.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, or who have a high risk of suicide. Blood pressure monitoring is recommended during treatment. Caution is also suggested in patients with a history of manic disorders or seizures.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place and out of reach of children. Protect from light and moisture.
