Indications
Reskizof (Risperidone) is indicated for the treatment of acute episodes of schizophrenia in adults, as well as for the management of psychotic disorders in pediatric patients. It is also used in the treatment of symptoms of mania and bipolar disorder, and in the management of irritability associated with autism in children and adolescents. Risperidone acts on various neurotransmitter receptors, contributing to its efficacy in controlling both positive and negative symptoms of psychotic disorders.
Composition
Each ml of Reskizof contains 1 mg of risperidone, as well as excipients that allow for the formulation of the solution. Excipients are used to stabilize and facilitate the administration of the active ingredient.
Contraindications
Reskizof is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to risperidone or any component of the formulation. Its use should also be avoided in patients with severe cardiovascular diseases, such as congestive heart failure, or in those with a history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy, liver or kidney diseases, as well as in the elderly, who may be more susceptible to adverse effects. It is important to monitor patients for the possible appearance of side effects, such as tardive dyskinesia and weight gain. Furthermore, it is recommended to evaluate the risk-benefit ratio before initiating treatment in patients with diabetes or with a history of venous thrombosis.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
