Indications
Relvare is indicated for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma in patients who require additional treatment with a corticosteroid and a long-acting bronchodilator. Fluticasone, a corticosteroid, helps reduce inflammation in the airways, while Vilanterol, a bronchodilator, acts by relaxing the muscles of the airways, facilitating breathing. This medication is used in patients who do not respond adequately to first-line treatments and require additional control of respiratory symptoms.
Composition
Each dose of the inhaler contains 100 mg of Fluticasone and 25 mcg of Vilanterol as active ingredients. Excipients include lactose and other inactive components that allow for the proper formulation of the inhaler.
Contraindications
Relvare is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Fluticasone, Vilanterol, or any of the product's excipients. It should not be used in patients with conditions requiring immediate rescue treatment, such as acute asthmatic crises.
Precautions
Pulmonary function should be assessed before initiating treatment. Relvare should be used with caution in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis, or respiratory infections. It is essential to monitor patients who develop respiratory or systemic infections during treatment. Oral corticosteroids should not be abruptly discontinued without proper medical supervision.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the inhaler in its original packaging and away from direct light and moisture. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
