Indications

Relazepam (Diazepam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, muscle spasms, and as premedication before surgical procedures. It is also used in the management of seizures and in the treatment of alcohol withdrawal syndrome. This medication acts on the central nervous system, providing anxiolytic, sedative, and muscle relaxant effects, which helps reduce tension and anxiety in patients.

Composition

Each Relazepam ampoule contains 10 mg of Diazepam as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its administration and absorption.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Diazepam or to any of the components of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with myasthenia gravis, severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnea syndrome, and in those with a history of substance abuse.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Relazepam to patients with a history of depression, liver or kidney diseases, as well as in the elderly, who may be more sensitive to its effects. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless deemed necessary by a physician. It is important to avoid combining it with other central nervous system depressants, as this may potentiate its effects.
