Indications
Regulact (Lactulose) is indicated for the treatment of occasional and chronic constipation, promoting the regulation of intestinal transit. In addition, it is used in the management of hepatic encephalopathy, a condition that causes alterations in mental status due to the accumulation of toxins in the body. This medication acts as an osmotic laxative, increasing the water content in the intestine and facilitating evacuation. Its use is recommended in patients who require a gentle and effective treatment to restore intestinal regularity.
Composition
Each sachet of Regulact contains 5 g of lactulose as an active ingredient. In addition, it may contain excipients that favor the dissolution and stability of the product.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lactulose or any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of intestinal obstruction, galactosemia, or intestinal perforation. Caution should be exercised in patients with diabetes mellitus, as lactulose may influence blood glucose levels.
Precautions
It is recommended to use Regulact with caution in patients with gastrointestinal diseases, such as inflammatory bowel disease, as it may worsen the condition. In addition, care should be taken in patients with severe dehydration, as excessive use of laxatives can lead to electrolyte imbalances. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding the duration of treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
