Indications

Redoxon 500 mg is a food supplement indicated for the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiencies. It is useful in situations that require an additional intake of this vitamin, such as during periods of stress, during infections, or in people with inadequate diets that may lead to ascorbic acid insufficiency. It is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of diseases that involve an increased demand for vitamin C, as well as in the recovery from infectious processes and in improving iron absorption. Its use is recommended for people who need to increase their intake of antioxidants, due to its action in neutralizing free radicals and strengthening the immune system.

Composition

Each Redoxon tablet contains 500 mg of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

Redoxon is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid or any of the excipients in the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with kidney disease or a history of kidney stone formation, as high doses of vitamin C can contribute to oxalate formation.

Precautions

Care should be taken when administering Redoxon to patients with iron metabolism disorders, as well as those with conditions that limit intestinal absorption. Furthermore, its use should be supervised in people who are undergoing anticoagulant treatment, due to possible interaction with iron absorption and metabolism.
