Indications
Recofol is indicated for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in surgical and diagnostic procedures. It is also used for sedation in intensive care patients and during diagnostic procedures requiring deep sedation. Its use is indicated in adults and children over 3 years of age, always under the supervision of qualified medical personnel. Recofol administration must be performed in a controlled environment where the patient's vital signs can be monitored during use. This medication acts quickly, facilitating rapid recovery after anesthesia, which makes it a preferred option in many clinical situations.
Composition
Each 100 mL of Recofol contains 10 g of Propofol, as well as excipients that allow for its proper formulation for intravenous administration.
Contraindications
Recofol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Propofol or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use should also be avoided in patients with hereditary metabolic disorders affecting fatty acid oxidation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe heart failure or in those with hemodynamic instability.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of heart disease, respiratory disorders, or those taking other medications that may affect blood pressure or cardiovascular function. Constant monitoring of vital signs during and after Recofol administration is important. Additionally, the possibility of adverse reactions, such as hypersensitivity, should be considered.
Storage
Recofol should be stored in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
