Indications

Rayar 25 mg is indicated for the treatment of mental disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. In the case of schizophrenia, it is used for the treatment of acute episodes and for the prevention of relapses. In bipolar disorder, it is effective in the manic phase and for the prevention of depressive episodes. Additionally, it can be used as an adjunctive treatment in major depression when antidepressants alone are not sufficient.

Composition

Each Rayar tablet contains 25 mg of quetiapine as an active ingredient. It also contains inactive excipients that aid in the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Rayar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to quetiapine or any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of manic episodes related to antidepressant use. Likewise, its use during pregnancy and lactation should be carefully evaluated, and it should be avoided in pregnant women unless strictly necessary.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, seizures, or liver and kidney problems. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, as well as blood glucose levels, is important, as the use of quetiapine may be associated with weight gain and metabolic alterations.
