Indications

Pulmovax is indicated for active immunization against diseases caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae serotypes, including pneumonia, meningitis, and bacteremia in at-risk populations. Its application is recommended for adults over 65 years of age, as well as for individuals with predisposing medical conditions, such as chronic lung diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes mellitus. Vaccination is a preventive measure to reduce the incidence of severe pneumococcal infections.

Composition

Each ampoule of Pulmovax contains capsular polysaccharides from 23 serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae, which are responsible for most pneumococcal infections. Additionally, it includes excipients that allow for the stability and preservation of the vaccine.

Contraindications

This product is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the vaccine's components. It should not be administered in cases of moderate or severe acute illness, with or without fever. It is also contraindicated in individuals who have experienced severe adverse reactions after administration of a previous dose of this vaccine or any other vaccine containing capsular polysaccharides.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in immunocompromised patients, as an adequate immune response may not be generated. It is advisable to assess the patient's health status before vaccination and consider their medical history, as well as the presence of allergies. Vaccination must be performed by trained healthcare personnel.

Storage

Pulmovax should be stored in a cool, dry place, at temperatures between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
