Indications

Pulmicort is indicated for the treatment and control of asthma in patients requiring long-term anti-inflammatory treatment. It is also used in the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other respiratory disorders requiring a reduction in bronchial inflammation. This medication is a corticosteroid that acts by reducing inflammation and facilitating breathing in patients with chronic respiratory conditions.

Composition

Each Pulmicort ampoule contains Budesonide, equivalent to 0.250 mg/ml, as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as sodium chloride, citric acid, and water for injection, which allow for an adequate formulation of the product for inhalation administration.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Budesonide or any of the excipients. It should not be used in patients with untreated respiratory infections or those requiring treatment with antifungal or antiviral medications, without a doctor's supervision. Caution should also be exercised in patients with active or inactive tuberculosis.

Precautions

It is recommended to use Pulmicort under the supervision of a doctor, especially in patients with cardiovascular diseases, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or glaucoma. Prolonged use of corticosteroids can lead to systemic effects, so the risk-benefit ratio should be evaluated in each patient. In case of adverse effects, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children. Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
