Indications
Protaisol Aerosol is used in the treatment of respiratory diseases that require bronchodilation. It is indicated for the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma, providing symptomatic relief in patients who experience difficulty breathing or wheezing. This medication works by blocking muscarinic receptors, resulting in relaxation of the smooth muscle of the airways. It is effective in reducing airway resistance and improving airflow, thus facilitating breathing.
Composition
Each aerosol dose contains 20 mcg of Ipratropium Bromide as the active ingredient. Excipients: chlorofluorocarbons, ethanol, and other inactive components that allow proper dispersion of the medication.
Contraindications
Protaisol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ipratropium Bromide or any other component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in people with a history of severe allergic reactions to other anticholinergics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of narrow-angle glaucoma, prostatic hyperplasia, or urinary retention. It is important to monitor the patient's response and respiratory function during treatment. In case of adverse effects, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children. Do not expose to temperatures above 50°C. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
