Indications
Progyluton is indicated for hormonal contraception in women. It is also used in the treatment of menstrual irregularities, such as primary or secondary amenorrhea, as well as in the treatment of hormonal disorders associated with menopause. Additionally, it can be useful in the management of menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness. This medication works by regulating the menstrual cycle and preventing ovulation.
Composition
Each tablet contains 2 mg of Estradiol and 0.5 mg of Norgestrel as active ingredients, as well as excipients.
Contraindications
Progyluton is contraindicated in women with a history of venous or arterial thrombosis, breast cancer, severe liver diseases, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, and in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the medication's components. It should not be used during pregnancy and lactation without proper medical supervision.
Precautions
It is essential to undergo a medical examination before starting treatment with Progyluton, as well as regular follow-up during its use. Pre-existing medical conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, or coagulation disorders, should be considered. Furthermore, it is recommended to avoid the use of this medication in women over 35 years of age who smoke, due to the increased risk of cardiovascular complications.
Storage
Store Progyluton in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
