Indications

Prindex is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with colds, flu, and allergies, including cough, nasal congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes, nose, or throat, and fever or body aches. Dextromethorphan acts as an antitussive that suppresses the urge to cough. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that helps reduce nasal congestion and facilitate breathing. Chlorphenamine is an antihistamine that helps relieve allergy symptoms such as itching and runny nose, while paracetamol acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, helping to reduce pain and fever.

Composition

Each tablet contains:

• Dextromethorphan 15 mg
• Phenylephrine 5 mg
• Chlorphenamine 2 mg
• Paracetamol 250 mg

Contraindications

This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or have taken them in the last two weeks. Its use is not recommended in children under 6 years of age without medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, thyroid problems, or who are taking other medicines containing paracetamol. This medicine may cause drowsiness, so it is recommended not to drive or operate heavy machinery while using it. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
