Indications
Prikul is indicated for the treatment of painful diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and the management of chronic pain in adults. It is also used as adjunctive therapy for partial epilepsy in adults and children over 12 years of age. Its action is based on the modulation of neurotransmitter release, which helps reduce neuronal excitability and, therefore, the pain associated with these conditions.
Composition
Each Prikul capsule contains 50 mg of pregabalin as an active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Prikul is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pregabalin or any of the excipients in the formula. Caution should also be exercised in those with a history of substance abuse, as it may lead to dependence in some cases.
Precautions
Careful evaluation is recommended for patients with renal insufficiency, as the dosage may need adjustment. Special care should be taken in patients with a history of depression or mood disorders, as well as in those who experience symptoms of suicidal thoughts. Additionally, abrupt discontinuation of treatment should be avoided.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
