Indications
Pridona is indicated for the treatment of certain types of epilepsy, including partial and generalized seizures. It is also used in the management of movement disorders, such as essential tremor and dystonia. Its antiepileptic action is based on the inhibition of excessive neuronal activity, which helps control seizures. The use of Pridona must be supervised by a specialized physician, who can determine the appropriate dose and the most effective treatment regimen for each patient.
Composition
Each tablet of Pridona contains 250 mg of primidone as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Pridona is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to primidone or any of the product's excipients. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of acute intermittent porphyria and in those with severe depression or hematological disorders.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those who are under treatment with other medications that may interact with primidone. Regular medical monitoring is essential to monitor the response to treatment and adjust the dose if necessary. Treatment should not be interrupted abruptly, as this may precipitate seizures.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30°C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
