Indications
Pridam is indicated for the treatment of severe hypotension, such as in septic shock or cardiogenic shock, where it is necessary to maintain adequate blood pressure. Its use is essential in situations where a rapid increase in blood pressure is required, providing hemodynamic support to critically ill patients. It can also be used in surgical procedures that require strict blood pressure control.
Composition
Each ampoule of Pridam contains Norepinephrine as an active ingredient, in a concentration of 4 mg per 4 ml of solution. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the stability and administration of the medication.
Contraindications
Pridam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to norepinephrine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of thrombosis or embolism, as well as in patients with pheochromocytoma or uncontrolled hypertension.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Pridam to patients with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases, such as arrhythmias or coronary artery disease. It is important to monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment. Likewise, it is recommended to avoid intramuscular or subcutaneous injection, as it can cause necrosis in adjacent tissues.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from direct light and keep out of reach of children.
