Indications
Predial Plus Lp is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults and children over 10 years of age. Its use is recommended for patients who have not achieved adequate blood glucose control through diet and exercise, and for whom metformin is considered appropriate. Predial Plus Lp can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other hypoglycemic agents. Regular monitoring of blood glucose and HbA1c is important to evaluate treatment efficacy. It may also be considered for overweight patients who require weight control.
Composition
Each Predial Plus Lp tablet contains 750 mg of metformin in the form of metformin hydrochloride.
Contraindications
Predial Plus Lp is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to metformin or any of the components of the formula, in those with severe renal insufficiency, metabolic acidosis, or diabetic ketoacidosis. It is also contraindicated in patients with unstable cardiovascular disease or in those requiring major surgery or procedures involving prolonged fasting.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney, liver, or heart disease. It is important to monitor renal function before starting treatment and periodically during it. In the case of surgical or imaging procedures requiring the use of iodinated contrast, temporary discontinuation of metformin should be considered. Likewise, the doctor should be informed if the patient presents any symptoms of hypoglycemia.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
