Indications

Predial Plus is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Its use is particularly beneficial in overweight or obese patients, as it helps improve glycemic control. This medication can be used in combination with other oral antidiabetics or insulin, as directed by a doctor. In addition, metformin has been shown to have a favorable effect on the lipid profile and may contribute to the reduction of cardiovascular risk in diabetic patients.

Composition

Each Predial Plus tablet contains 750 mg of metformin as the active ingredient. Excipients are: [detail excipients according to specific formula].

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to metformin or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of severe renal insufficiency (GFR < 30 ml/min), metabolic acidosis, or in situations of acute hypoxia. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with acute illnesses that may cause dehydration, such as severe infections or dehydration due to vomiting or diarrhea.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with moderate renal insufficiency, liver disease, or those at risk of developing lactic acidosis. Regular monitoring of renal function during treatment is essential, as is evaluating the need to suspend the medication before surgical or imaging procedures involving the use of iodinated contrast media.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
