Indications

Predial Plus is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially in patients who are overweight or obese. Its use is indicated as part of a comprehensive approach that includes diet and exercise. In addition, it can be used in combination with other hypoglycemic agents, either oral or insulin, to achieve better control of blood glucose levels. This medication helps improve insulin sensitivity and reduce glucose production in the liver, thus contributing to better management of postprandial and fasting glucose.

Composition

Each Predial Plus tablet contains 500 mg of Metformin. In addition, it contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.

Contraindications

Predial Plus is contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency, active liver disease, conditions that may cause tissue hypoxia, as well as in those with known allergy to metformin or to any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in situations of dehydration, severe infections, and in case of major surgical procedure requiring prolonged fasting.

Precautions

It is important to evaluate renal function before starting treatment and to periodically monitor its function during the use of the medication. Precautions should be taken in elderly or debilitated patients and in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect blood glucose. Care should also be taken in situations that may increase the risk of lactic acidosis, such as excessive alcohol consumption.

Storage

Keep Predial Plus in its original packaging, in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
