Indications
Predial is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially in patients who cannot control their blood glucose solely through diet and exercise. This medication is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and children over 10 years of age. It can also be used in overweight and obese patients, as well as in patients with insulin resistance. In some cases, Predial can be used in combination with other oral antidiabetics or insulin, at the discretion of the treating physician.
Composition
Each Predial tablet contains 100 mg of metformin as the active ingredient. Excipients include: corn starch, magnesium stearate, and talc.
Contraindications
Predial is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to metformin or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of severe renal insufficiency, metabolic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe heart disease, or in situations of hypoxia. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Predial to patients with a history of kidney, liver, or heart disease. It is important to monitor renal function before and during treatment. It is recommended to suspend treatment in situations that could lead to dehydration or a scheduled surgical intervention.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
