Indications
Prazolan is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excessive gastric acid production. It is used in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), as well as in the healing of erosive esophagitis caused by this condition. It is also indicated for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, and for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics. This medication works by inhibiting the proton pump in the parietal cells of the stomach, thereby reducing gastric acid secretion and providing relief from the symptoms associated with these conditions.
Composition
Each Prazolan tablet contains 40 mg of pantoprazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Prazolan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Additionally, it should not be administered to patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other proton pump inhibitors.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency and in those receiving long-term treatment. It is important to monitor patients with persistent gastrointestinal symptoms to rule out the presence of neoplasms. In cases of prolonged treatment, monitoring of serum magnesium levels should be considered, as cases of hypomagnesemia have been reported.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
