Indications
Plidan (Pargeverine) is indicated for the treatment of colic and spasms of the gastrointestinal and biliary tracts. It is used in conditions such as spastic colitis and functional dyspepsia, where rapid relief of symptoms associated with involuntary contraction of the smooth muscles of the intestine is required. In addition, it can be used to relieve pain associated with renal and biliary colic, as well as in gynecological disorders that present painful spasms. It is important that the use of this medication be supervised by a doctor, as there may be specific considerations depending on the patient's health status.
Composition
Each Plidan coated tablet contains 10 mg of pargeverine as the active ingredient. Excipients include lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and other inactive components that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Plidan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pargeverine or any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of intestinal obstruction or active ulcerative colitis, as it may aggravate these conditions. Caution should also be exercised in patients with severe liver or kidney diseases.
Precautions
It is recommended that the use of Plidan be evaluated by a doctor in patients with a history of significant gastrointestinal problems. Likewise, care should be taken when administering this medication to pregnant or breastfeeding women, as safety has not been fully established in these groups. It is essential to avoid concomitant use with other antispasmodics without adequate medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
